Dwelling Place Celebrates Its Newest Housing Community

Dwelling Place will celebrate the completion of the transformation of the former Madison Square Apartments into Reflections: A Senior Housing Community at a Dedication Ceremony and Open House on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 11:00am. Dwelling Place will open the doors of Reflections: A Senior Housing Community to the public at an Open House following the Dedication Ceremony from 12 Noon - 2:00pm.

Thank You Rock Wood and Bob Tol!

At a luncheon in early spring, Dwelling Place celebrated the service of two retiring Board Members: Rock Wood and Bob Tol.  Rock Wood became a member of the Board of Directors in the mid-1990's.  For a portion of that time, Rock provided leadership to the Board as its Chair.  Bob Tol served as Director for 5 years sharing his expertise in residential and commercial development.

Dwelling Place Announces Herkimer Apartments Renovation

Dwelling Place announces plans to renovate the existing Herkimer Apartment building starting in the fall of 2012. The 122 studio apartments that currently exist in the Herkimer Apartments will be expanded to larger one bedroom apartments. There will be an addition built in the back of the Herkimer Apartments that will have several additional one bedroom apartments. When construction is finished, there will still be a total of 122 apartments, however, they will all be larger one bedroom apartments.

Dwelling Place Supports CAVA Student Clean up!

Thanks to the 50 Aquinas Collage Students who spent Saturday cleaning Heartside. Dwelling Place's main office, Herkimer Goodrich, Lennox, Ferguson, Martineau Apartment communities got mulched while over 40 bags of trash were removed from the neighborhood!
 
Dwelling Place's Hope College Intern, Ryan Jongekryg organized the event along with Aquinas College's CAVA student leaders. Ryan was able to garner Heartside Volunteers to lead each of the 11 teams of CAVA Students. Special Thanks to Ryan for all of his hard work!
