Community Event

We would like to update you and regarding Herkimer Apartments, located at 323 South Division in Grand Rapids, Michigan. So that renovations could begin to the historic building by the fall of 2012, the 122 residences which included 107 studios and 15 one-bedroom apartments were vacated.  Some residents were temporarily relocated, however most were permanently moved into other residences. All of the apartment interiors are now being enlarged and receiving a fresh look!  Note that utilities, even air-conditioning, are going to be included in the rent!

The Rapid started the T.R.I.P (The Rapid Incentives Program), a two month promotion that will reward West Michigan residents for "green" commuting. During May and June, The Rapid's Incentives Program is offering prizes to West Michigan residents who use alternate transportation on their daily commute including carpooling, vanpooling, taking the bus, biking, and walking!
 

Dwelling Place is in the running for a LocalMotion "Change Agent Award" tomorrow evening at the Local First Annual Meeting and LocalMotion Awards! This award is presented to a locally owned business or organization that is growing successfully and can be accredited for revitalizing a neighborhood or business corridor.

The Heartside Business Association will be holding a General Meeting at 8:30 am. The meeting will take place at the Rapid Station. Everyone is welcome to attend!
