We are excited to annouce that our two new affordable housing developments located in Southwest Grand Rapids are nearing completion. As part of the Plaza Roosevelt development, Avenida Brillante (Bright Avenue) located at 652 Grandville Avenue and Suroeste Brillante (Bright Southwest) located at 347 Franklin Street will bring 50 apartments (two- and three-bedrooms) to our community. The housing will be opening for residency in January of 2021. 

How To Apply:

All household members over the age of 18 need to fill out, sign, and return a pre-application in order to be considered. All pre-applications returned by the 5:00pm on the December 7th deadline* will be placed in a random drawing to determine the order for initial consideration and processing.  Thereafter, any pre-applications will be added in chronological order of receipt and processed upon availability. (*Dwelling Place reserves the right to extend the deadline)

Rental Amounts: 

Two-Bedroom Apartments 

Rent: $609/month for households up to 40% AMI

Rent: $970/month for households up to 80% AMI

Three-Bedroom Apartments 

Rent: $699/month for households up to 40% AMI

Rent: $1,116/month for households up to 80% AMI

Resident pays gas & electric utilities 

Income Qualifications:

Houlsehold income and assets must be verified for all households members 

Minimum income of atleast two-times the monthly rent (exception for applicants with housing vouchers)

      Maximum Area Median Income (AMI) limits do apply.      Limits listed here
