The Dwelling Place Homeownership Fund was launched in celebration of our former CEO, Denny Sturtevant’s retirement from Dwelling Place after 33 years leading our organization. For more than 15-years Denny dreamed of bringing an affordable homeownership option to West Michigan and in 2020 this dream came to fruition with the launch of the Dwelling Place Regional Community Land Trust. The Dwelling Place Regional Community Land Trust is a lasting affordable homeownership model aimed at increasing homeownership opportunities amongst persons historically left out of this opportunity across our communities. Dwelling Place, now led by CEO, Jeremy DeRoo, is excited to continue this important work in helping low- and moderate-income individuals and families reach their dreams of owning a home.
